There is no story. The book is glorified flashcards. A drawing which slightly relates to the la llorona story but the reader wouldn’t know why they’re counting red doors. And all they’re learning are the words red door and a number. No context and not how to use it in a sentence. If la llorona bought this book, she’d have one more thing to cry about!Product details

La Llorona Counting Down / Contando Hacia Atras A Bilingual Counting Book eBook Patty Rodriguez Ariana Stein Reviews
Not scary for little kids. Pictures are full of detail, so that grownups can tell the story along with the beautiful pics in the book. It's is a sad/traditional story afterall.
I absolutely LOVE these books! However, needs better sticker placement....
My toddler loves these bilingual books. We have the entire collection. They remind me of my childhood. Traditional pictures, yet child-specific. My toddler always wants to kee rereading them and the words are easy to pronounce. Short and simple.
Just creepy enough to be fun, without starting toddlers. My two year old loves the page with lamps!
While the real story itself isn't cute, this is a cute Halloween book for the little ones...easy to read and my two year old loved trying to say the English and Spanish versions of the words. The drawings are cute and the content is just enough for little ones.
I remember hearing the story of La Llorona growing up. Cute way to introduce the story without scaring and expose two languages!
This is a pretty cute book; love the art and concept. It’s definitely not a Sandra Boynton book, meaning there isn’t a whole lot to read out other than numbers and simpler nouns. With a loaded story like “La Llorona” there was a lot of potential to story but I guess a good way to use this is to improvise while you’re reading to your child. I definitely like the Lil Libros collection but wish the author would go beyond nouns and have some story. You definitely won’t get in trouble if you give this book to a religious family member.
